STEPS TO BECOMING AN NUTRITION ZONE FRANCHISEE

We very much appreciate your continued interest in the NUTRITION ZONE franchise opportunity.
As you continue to explore the Nutrition Zone franchise opportunity, you will learn that we have extremely low turn over among our franchisees. There are two reasons for this:

• We provide a substantial amount of support services to our franchisees.
• We are very selective in choosing the individuals to whom we award our franchise.

We use a 5-step qualifying process that includes these steps:

1. The first step in buying a NUTRITION ZONE franchise is for you to complete a Franchise Application form. A NUTRITION ZONE representative will then telephone you to explain the franchise program.  If there is mutual interest after our telephone conversation, we will then mail you an information pack that will provide a full description of the franchise opportunity.

2. Once we have received your completed application form, you have read the franchise literature, and your interest continues to be strong, we will send you a second package. The second package will include the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), which includes the Franchise Agreement for your review.

3. Upon your receipt of the FDD, the laws governing franchise sales require that NUTRITION ZONE receive a signed and dated Franchise Disclosure Document Acknowledgement Receipt page back from you.  This receipt page is the very last page of the FDD.  It does not obligate you in any way, nor does it obligate NUTRITION ZONE Franchise Corporation to sell you a franchise; it is merely a matter of evidence that we have complied with all the franchise laws and  have provided you with complete and full disclosure of the NUTRITION ZONE franchise opportunity.

4. After reading the FDD, if you are still interested in proceeding with your investigation of the franchise opportunity, you will be invited to visit the NUTRITION ZONE corporate office in Orange County, California, to meet with our franchise senior executive team. You must bear the cost of travel to our corporate office. This is a chance to spend several hours meeting us and learning more about NUTRITION ZONE and for us to evaluate whether we feel you have the qualifications to be a successful NUTRITION ZONE franchisee.

5. You will undoubtedly want to talk to some of our other NUTRITION ZONE franchisees to determine their satisfaction with the NUTRITION ZONE training and ongoing support.  We recommend that talking to NUTRITION ZONE franchisees be delayed until the date for your visit to our corporate office has been established, since our owners and franchisees are busy operating their businesses, and we only want them to spend time with people who are sincere about becoming NUTRITION ZONE franchisees.

6. During your visit to the NUTRITION ZONE corporate office, you will meet our senior executives, and they will be available to answer any remaining questions you may have concerning operating a NUTRITION ZONE franchise, including information that you will need to talk to potential landlords for site selection. At the end of your visit, if we have mutually agreed on proceeding with your NUTRITION ZONE franchise, we can set up your training date. We will also counsel you on all the preliminary steps leading up to training including signing the franchise agreement, the payment of the initial franchise fee, and the procedure for site selection.
